The intention of the ProTec Advanced Nitrox certification course is to learn how to properly inhale Nitrox (EANx 22% up to pure Oxygen). Either there are no decompression stages needed or significantly shorter times on stages compared to the same time/depth diving with regular air. It is up to you to use this benefit for a longer dive time or for much more reserve and deco safety. Furthermore, you will advance your skills on handling Nitrox and Oxygen equipment.
The program's main part is all about learning about Nitrox and Oxygen for diving purposes as well as the gas changes underwater and deco stops with Nitrox and Oxygen.
Prerequisites
- Minimum age is 16 years old
- Good diving knowledge (theory and sufficient practice), which needs to be proven to the instructor before the practice
- Medical statement
- ProTec 2** Diver certificate or equivalent
- Previous skills, such as the calculation of air consumption, and detailed physics (about partial pressure, and gases), that may have to be refreshed with the individual courses
